Ever wonder if God is really leading your life and if you are living according to His rules? This is something that I probably think about at least once a day. I often wonder if I am doing what I am supposed to be doing and if it is enough to save me from eternal damnation. Even though I know that I cannot earn salvation it was the way I was raised I guess. Do the right thing not the wrong. But who is it that defines right and wrong?
I read Max Lucado quite a bit and he wrote of some of God’s time tested truths that we should pay attention to or else take our salvation into our own hands which we all know is not a good idea.
Here are those truths as Max writes:
- Love God more than you fear hell
- Make major decisions in a cemetery
- When no one is watching, live as if someone is
- Succeed at home first
- Don’t spend tomorrow’s money today
- Pray twice as much as you fret
- God has forgiven you; you’d be wise to do the same
I certainly don’t know if these are right or wrong but they seem like a good place to start.
